Role 👀
As Content Lead at Paperbox, you will be the architect of our content marketing strategy and execution. You'll create compelling, industry-specific content that resonates with insurance professionals while building a scalable content engine from the ground up. Working closely with RevOps, Product, and Customer Success, you'll develop content that drives awareness, generates demand, and supports our growth across markets. This is a full-time role in Ghent with flexibility for remote work.

The last years we have been bootstrapping and building the foundations of our GTM machine. With over 40 customers in insurance, we have nailed down our ICP and value proposition. We're currently focused on expanding internationally and scaling our content presence to establish thought leadership in the insurance industry. We're looking for someone to take our content strategy to the next level and build a team that can consistently deliver high-impact content that moves the needle!

Your responsibilities 📆
Content Strategy & Creation:
- Develop and execute comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and our Demand Generation approach
- Create high-impact content across multiple formats: blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, video content, infographics, and social media
- Research and understand the insurance industry inside-out to create authoritative, relevant content
- Build consistent content flow and an editorial calendar that supports sales and marketing goals
- Develop content that speaks directly to insurance professionals' pain points and challenges
Multi-format Content Production:
- Write compelling copy that converts prospects into customers
- Design visual content that enhances storytelling and brand consistency
- Film and edit video content for various platforms and use cases
- Create interactive content and presentations for sales enablement
- Manage end-to-end content production process from ideation to distribution
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with our marketing team to align with the marketing strategy and goals
- Work closely with RevOps to align content with revenue goals and measure content impact
- Partner with Product team to create compelling product marketing content and release communications
- Collaborate with Customer Success to develop case studies, testimonials, and user-generated content
- Support sales team with enablement materials, battle cards, and prospect-facing content
- Coordinate with business development for partnership and co-marketing content
Content Distribution & Optimization:
- Develop and execute content distribution strategy across multiple channels
- Optimize content for SEO and lead generation
- Manage content performance analytics and continuously optimize based on data
- Build and maintain content library and knowledge base
- Establish content governance and brand consistency guidelines
Team Building & Leadership:
- Build and scale content team over time as business grows
- Establish content creation processes and workflows
- Mentor and develop content team members
- Collaborate with external freelancers and agencies when needed

Content Marketing Expertise:
- B2B content marketing experience with proven track record of creating content that drives business results
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across multiple content formats and channels
- Experience in complex B2B environments with longer sales cycles
- Understanding of content marketing funnels and lead nurturing strategies
Multi-skilled Creator:
- Excellent writing skills with ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and formats
- Design capabilities using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
- Video production skills including filming, editing, and post-production
- Experience with content management systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple content streams simultaneously
Industry Knowledge & Research:
- Ability to quickly become a subject matter expert in new industries
- Strong research skills to gather insights and stay current with industry trends
- Experience creating thought leadership content that establishes authority
- Insurance or financial services industry knowledge (bonus points)
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in content creation
Collaboration & Growth Mindset:
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer success teams
- Data-driven approach to content creation and optimization
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and take ownership
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with marketing tools (HubSpot, Google Analytics, SEO tools)
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for content optimization
- Experience with social media management and paid content promotion
- Knowledge of A/B testing and conversion optimization
