Insurance historically is a manual labor-intensive, admin-heavy industry. A lot of manual labour goes into reading incoming requests, processing emails and attachments from central mailboxes, forwarding to colleagues, scheduling and prioritizing tasks and archiving information into insurance back-office systems.
Our solution reduces the friction and brings structure to the biggest bottleneck of insurance operations: the Mailroom.

Role 👀
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join the Paperbox team. In this role, you will be pivotal in developing the core of our platform, crafting new features, components, and integrations. You will function within our product & engineering team.
Utilizing a microservices' architecture on Google Cloud and primarily coding in Python, our emphasis is on serverless and managed solutions to maximize efficiency. Our product is driven by unique machine learning models, presenting exciting challenges in software design. With an ambitious roadmap ahead, your contributions will be key to our success.
You're an ideal candidate if you are a pragmatic programmer with proficiency in Python, understand best practices in software engineering, and excel in API design. Your code is dry, reusable, and you are adept at problem-solving. Moreover, your ability to convey ideas effectively makes you a perfect fit for our collaborative environment.

The last years we have been bootstrapping and building the foundations of our GTM machine. With over 20 customers in insurance, we have nailed down our ICP and value proposition. We are looking for someone to put oil on that fire and help us scale!

- Strong experience in software development, particularly with Python
- A solid foundation in software engineering principles and API design
- Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively in English
- A track record of problem-solving and innovation
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with large language models (bonus points)
